'No need to pay us Rs 20 lakh. Just pay Rs 30 for 6 months ..': After vacancy, now another offer from Zomato

Zomato serves the best 'self roasting' products, said one social media user.

Zomato yet again makes headlines after introducing a special offer wherein it is offering Zomato Gold membership for just Rs 30, as a Black Friday deal.

This comes after the unusual job posting by the food delivery platform's CEO Deepinder Goyal where he said applicants will have to pay Rs 20 lakhs to get the job of Chief of Staff.

Goyal later gave a clarification too regarding the unusual requirement that, “'you have to pay us 20 lacs (sic) was merely a filter, to find people who had the power to appreciate the opportunity of a fast track career, without getting bogged down by constraints in front of them."

Offering the new Zomato Gold offer to customers, the company’s marketing team came up with a witty post on the X handle that read, “Update from CEO: No need to pay us ₹20 lakh. Just pay ₹30 for 6 months of Zomato Gold”. The offer is valid until this weekend only.

What is Zomato Gold:

The food delivery platform offers Zomato Gold to its customers to avail wherein the user gets free food delivery or orders worth over Rs 199 from restaurants within a radius of 7km. Along with this the user can also avail a discount for up to 30 per cent on more than 20,000 partner restaurants across India.

Reactions poured in over the post, where one user said, " Zomato serves the best “self roasting” products."

Another comment read, "Naah can’t go back on this now. No wittiness will work."

A user who already renewed his Zomato Gold membership a while ago said, "That's not fair. I renewed Zomato Gold last week for 3 months and now you are giving it for 6 months."

Earlier, Zomato had also made a buzz after introducing ‘District’ app for both iOS and Android users. This app will be acting as a platform wherein users will be able to book movie tickets, live performances, and a host of other events, using the app.
