<p>Bengaluru: Bengaluru-headquartered food and grocery delivery firm Swiggy on Tuesday received an Income Tax department tax notice for unpaid dues of Rs 158.25 crore, the company said in a late exchange filing. </p>.<p>The demand pertains to the April 2021 to March 2022 period, during which Swiggy did not pay tax on cancellation charges paid to merchants and the interest income on income tax refund, it said. </p><p>“The company believes that it has strong arguments against the order and is taking necessary steps to protect its interest through review/appeal. The company believes that the order has no major adverse impact on its financials and operations,” Swiggy added. </p>.<p>The order dated March 29, 2025 was issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Income-tax, Bangalore.</p>
