Bajaj Auto has introduced another power packed variant in the Pulsar RS (Race Sports) 200. According to the company, it is the fastest Pulsar yet. “With its stunning looks, muscular finish and evolved performance dynamics, the bike stands a class apart from the rest. The Pulsar RS 200 demonstrates the design, fit and finish of the dream super sports bike that Indian youth would love to ride on,” the company said.

Design and features
Bajaj has highlighted the sportier and edgier look of the Pulsar RS 200. It is available in red and yellow, and the company feels the bike promises a guaranteed second look. In its view, the side and body panels along with the stickers and graphics give the Pulsar a masculine look. The company notes that the twin-projector headlamps are powerful to take care of low and high beams. “The perimeter frame provides high stiffness and low flex to conquer the trickiest hairpins with elan. The high intensity and unique looking crystal LED tail lamp mesmerises other riders that it leaves behind,” Bajaj said.

Engine and performance
According to Bajaj, the RS 200 scores over other Pulsars not just in style, but in engine and performance. It has highlighted the triple spark 4 valve DTSi engine with fuel injection and liquid cooling system, which “delivers seamless and tractable power at all speeds”. Bajaj feels the new fairing, fuel injection, the ABS unit, the new exhaust, and the distinct tail lamp mounts add to the Pulsar’s performance and enable it to “deliver noticeable speed of 141 kmph unleashing 24.5 PS power @ 11,000 RPM”.

Ride, handling,and braking
According to Bajaj, the RS200 allows for a handling, which is more sturdy and comfortable. The company notes that excess weight of the bike compared with other Pulsars, makes it steady on the ground and easy to manoeuvre than other Pulsar variants. “The seating ergonomics have seen quite an improvement and the MRF Nylogrip Zapper S tyres — 100/80-17 at the front and 130/70-17 at the rear — provide superb grip and amazing riding experience on the road. The ABS feature maintains the perfect balance between the front and rear wheels offering ultimate safety,” the company said.

The features of this bike make it the most extravagant, muscular, evolved, and fun-to-ride bike on the roads, the company says.

“The best in class aerodynamics make it a well-engineered sports bike in its category, and this bike is truly designed to take on the race track or everyday roads with ease,” it said. The Pulsar RS 200 costs Rs 1.19 lakh (non-ABS) and Rs 1.31 lakh (ABS), ex-showroom Karnataka.
