The ex-showroom price in Bangalore ranges from Rs 6.87 lakh for the basic petrol version going up to Rs 9.66 lakh for top end diesel version.<br /><br />Briefing reporters, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) Director (Marketing & Sales) Arvind Saxena said in order to meet the domestic demand, the company will reduce its exports this year. “We are confident that the new Verna will prove to be very popular with car enthusiasts and will transform ownership into a thrilling experience,” he added. “The mix of exports will go down as export markets have slowed down. We can meet domestic demand... We have enough production to adjust,” HMIL Managing Director & CEO H W Park added. <br /><br />Saxena said that the company expects to sell about 2,000 units of the new Verna every month in the domestic market. The company has sold 82,076 units of old Verna, which was launched in September, 2006. Saxena also said HMIL will be launching its sports utility vehicle, Sante Fe, by the year-end, as the firm looks to enhance its product portfolio.</p>
