Students find dance teacher dead in school

The decomposed body of a 38-year-old dance teacher was found at his SK Rhythm Dance School near Geddalahalli bus stand on Tuesday evening.

Police suspect Sandeep, found hanging from the ceiling, could have committed suicide on Sunday. Students at the dance school discovered the body.

Sandeep’s father KN Achyuth told the police that their family belongs to Udupi and they moved to the city ten years ago. He sells clothes at Majestic and stays in Rajajinagar with wife and son.

Sandeep ran a dance school and borrowed heavily. He was unable to repay the loans and was under depression. Four years ago, Sandeep married Sowmya, who belongs to his native place. The couple has a four-year-old son. Sowmya moved back to her parents’ place with her son
four months ago due to marital issues.

On Sunday evening, Sandeep called up Sowmya to inform it was his last call, disconnecting abruptly. Sowmya did not take the call seriously thinking that Sandeep did not mean to kill himself. But Sandeep is believed to have hung himself after the call.

Noticing the dance school shut on Monday, students returned the next day and opened the place when they discovered Sandeep’s hanging body.
