Techie loses footwear in gap between train and platform

A techie had to wait for 20 minutes to get back one of the sandal pairs that fell in the gap between the metro rail and the platform at the heavily crowded Majestic Metro Station on Monday afternoon.

Soni, a business analyst at the Embassy Golf Link Business Park, had to wait with only one footwear on the platform before the staff came to her rescue.

According to her, the metro rail facility in the city is very good. But the pushing and pulling of the people while boarding is what bothers her.

“Due to some technical glitch, there was a huge crowd at the station. When the train arrived, a few people pushed me while boarding. I slipped and my footwear fell in the gap between the metro rail and the platform. As the security guards do not allow us to even peek down, I had to ask for help,” Soni added.

The techie said that she was already running late and had to call her office to inform about the incident.

A metro staff then helped her to get it back.
