<p dir="ltr"> Ahead of Lok Sabha polls, Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday appealed to the masses not punish the BJP government for not having built the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.</p>.<p dir="ltr">Addressing a gathering at an interactive event organised by the Rajajinagar based Thinkers Forum organisation, Sitharaman said, "Your high standards of expectations should not be used for this election like saying that ' no you have didn't build the Ram temple in Ayodhya’. Because the temple couldn't build don't punish us. I am giving this example because it is very close to my heart.”</p>.<p dir="ltr">“Regarding Ram temple, we have approached the Supreme Court to give us the excess land. There are issues, but have faith in the government,” she added.</p>.<p dir="ltr">Sitharaman also pointed out that people should not fall for silly reasons like fair and charming young leaders.</p>
