<p>Police declared fake a viral message circulated on WhatsApp about an impending terror attack in Bengaluru. </p>.<p>"4 of the terrorists were spotted in Bangalore and they plan to do something worse in next 15 days, primarily in IT companies in Whitefield and Bellandur. So as residents please be alert and anyone notice these guys and any info please contact the police immediately (sic)," it read. </p>.<p>“Above message is not a mere forward and police has visited few apartments in Sarjapur road, Bellandur area, Bangalore and has passed the information in person...so pls don't consider above message as mere forward and request all to be alert (sic)," it added. </p>.<p>The message had police contact numbers. </p>.<p>Panic prevailed in Whitefield and Bellandur. Many called up the DCP's office. </p>.<p>Police tweeted to allay fears: "This is a hoax. All citizens are requested not to circulate/forward such false messages (sic)." </p>
