On Thursday evening, some TV channels began telecasting that Assembly Speaker Bopanna has suspended three Congress and one JD(S) MLAs for their unruly behaviour on the day he was elected (December 2009).
But, Bopanna quickly denied issuing suspension notice. He said that there is no proposal before him, as of now, to suspend the MLAs.
However, the false news created a furore in the BJP rebel camp as well as in the JD(S).
