2 Indian nationals rescued after hostage operation in Manila

The hostages were identified as two Indians Pavitter Singh and Balvir Singh and Luciano Clemen, a Filipino, who were kidnapped from Marilao town in Bulacan province on Thursday, Xinhua news agency reported from Manila, the capital of the Philippines.

According to police, the suspects retaliated during a rescue operation yesterday which led to the killing of two while three others managed to escape.

The three suspects were later nabbed at a checkpoint in Imus town, police said, adding that they were killed during the shootout.
