Speaking at the preliminary meeting here to discuss the preparations for the festival at his office, he said the idol of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari will be taken out a grand procession on that day.  It will be accompanied by tableaux of various departments,  three contingent's of Police, four contingent's of NCC, one contingent each of Department of Fire Services, Home Guards, Scouts and Guides. Besides, students from various schools would also participate.

The procession will begin from District Stadium and will pass through Salagame road, Mahaveera Circle, Kasturba Road, Subash Circle, M H Circle, N R Circle, Hemavathy Circle and culminate at Town Hall. The best tableau would be given a rolling shield from the department. Additional Superintendent of Police Yallappa, City Municipal Council Commissioner, Deputy Director of Public Instruction, Regional Transport Officer, Headmasters of various schools and other officers participated in the meeting.
