"The OC, Dilip Guha was arrested last night from Behalabari in Khowai police station of West Tripura district and suspended from job," DIG police control Nepal Das said.
He said, Guha asked his domestic help to bring the 14-year-old girl from Khowai police station area promising her a job.
When the girl came to his residence at Kamalpur on October 26, the officer forced her to drink liquor and later raped her, the DIG said.
The victim returned home at Khowai the next day and narrated the entire sequence to her father following which her father filed an FIR against the police officer yesterday.
On receiving the information of filing FIR, Guha fled to Khowai but Assam Rifles personnel caught him at Behalabari and informed the police.
The police arrested him at around 10:30 PM yesterday.
