Singh and Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar along with several union ministers and members of Parliament paid floral tributes to former Home Minister Patel at his portrait in the Central Hall of Parliament House.
A booklet containing the profile of Sardar Patel, brought out in Hindi and English was also presented to the dignitaries present on the occasion.
Patel's portrait was unveiled by then President Rajendra Prasad on April 23, 1958 in the Central Hall.
