10 held for shooting obscene videos

 
Srikanth, Chandrashekhar, Naga, Swaroop, Speed Raghu, Subhash, Sudhir, Mallik, Sadananda and Ramu from Dyavarsa village of Hosanagar taluk are the arrested.
It is said that the arrested used to shoot the videos with cellphones. Lovers engaged in romancing in Sharavathi backwater region were their victims.

The gang had also captured obscene images of two women. They were intimidated at the knife-point to pose for the mobile camera. It is said that victims were also subjected to sexual harassment.

Tirthahalli DySP Dr Shekhar had received an anonymous complaint. The complainant  had furnished CDs of the obscene MMS clippings. Police have seized cellphones, CDs and a computer from the arrested.
