Himatsingka to open more stores in India

Briefing reporters, Executive Director Shrikant Himatsingka said, the company plns to introduce a new brand in home furnishings which will cater to mid-market segment. The company, he said, will open 120 stores across the country for the proposed brand for which they are yet to zero in on a name. The new brand will be retailed in the price range of Rs 500-700 / metre. Likewise, he said, the company will enhance the retail presence of its luxury brand Atmosphere from the current 14 to 25-30 stores. These will come up in Dubai and Singapore as well besides India. The proposed expansion is expected to cost around Rs 150 crore for which company plans to raise necessary resources soon.
