K Raghavendra Rao was held by the sleuths when he was taking a Rs 10,000 bribe from Raghavendra, owner of Banadeshwara Fertilisers in Saidapur at the Office of Joint Director, Department of Agriculture, at Ganj in the city.
Rao had allegedly demanded Rs 10,000 from Raghavendra who then lodged a complaint with the Lokayukta.
The team led by Lokayukta SP B N Neelagar and DSP C A Belamkar comprised Inspector J H Inamdar, Mahadeshwar Gowda and staff.
