Congress spokesman Manish Tiwari said the party’s government in Andhra Pradesh headed by Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy had never been in any kind of threat, was not threatened and neither would it be. He, however, refrained from attacking Jagan, who in November last resigned from both the Congress as well as from the Parliament.

The son of late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S R Reddy was representing the Kadapa constituency of Andhra Pradesh in the Lok Sabha.

“We are not here to criticise anybody,” said Tewari, adding: “Jaganmohan Reddy is not a member of the Congress.”

Notwithstanding its claim on the stability of Kiran Kumar Reddy’s Government, the Congress on Tuesday sent Law Minister M Veerappa Moily to Hyderabad to take stock of the situation. Moily is in charge of the party’s affairs in the State.
