JOIN USMothith clinched the boys’ under-14 crown with a facile 6-3, 6-0 win over another unseeded player Rohith Madhu in the final.Mohith, later, teamed up with Adil Kalyanpur and put out the under-14 doubles’ pair of A Tausif Khan and VR Sanjay 6-2, 6-1 to complete a grand double.
In the under-12 event, B Pranash posted a thumping 6-0, 6-0 win over Abhimanyu Vamman Reddy.Nupur Umashankar lived up to her top-seed tag with a clinical show to oust Soha Khan 6-1, 6-2 in the girls’ under-14 section.
Nupur, however, lost out on a chance to claim her second title when she and her partner S Vasavi went down to 7-6 (7-5), 6-7 (3-7), 8-10 to the Shivanni Manjanna and Hrishika Rajesh duo in the under-14 doubles’ final.
In the under-12 section, Shivani Manjanna eased past Vasavi 6-4, 6-2 for the title.
