Removal of Principal Secretary demanded

The protestors submitted a memorandum to the Council Chairman D H Shankarmurthy and threatened to intensify their protest if their demand was not fulfiled by February 12.

Association President M N Pillappa alleged that the Principal Secretary had been blocking promotion of about 40 employees for the last one year without any reason. He has, however, sanctioned promotion of those who do not deserve it, he alleged.

He also charged the Principal Secretary with harassing the employees. “We want the post of Principal Secretary to be scrapped. Bharatesh is coming in the way of smooth functioning of the administration. If our demands are not fulfiled, we will keep away from the coming budget session of the Legislature,” he warned.
