The producer had also contributed to the main story of the original movie, which starred Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta among others. "It's all about getting hold of a beautiful idea and taking it forward. For 'Housefull 2' I got this idea and wanted it to get translated on screen. That's the reason why we decided to pre-pone the shooting of the film as I felt that the sequel would be a good entertainer," Nadiadwala told PTI.
However, he is not looking at being the script and has entrusted the responsibility to a team of writers.
"Yes, there is a team working on it. I am there mainly for any additional screenplay," he says.
"I have contributed to my earlier movies like 'Jeet', 'Judwaa' and 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' as well. I was also associated with a set of writers who know their job really well." Meanwhile, as a producer, Nadiadwala's entire concentration is on bringing 'Housefull 2' and 'Kick' on floors with the former all set for a May start.
"No, I am not scared at all. I am closely working on the film's writing. I truly believe that it would exceed people's expectations. Moreover the story is far more complicated and amusing this time around."
The sequel stars John Abraham, Mithun Chakravorty, Asin, Zarine Khan, Jacqueline Fernandes and Rahul Khanna while Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh reprise their roles.
"Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor who are playing brothers in the film. It is really fun for me to write this film and for the team to shoot it. Also this time around the film has a lot of action which further adds on to the scale of the film." 'Housefull 2' is eyeing a summer release in 2012.
