'Withdraw nod given to development projects'

Taluk Panchayat President Shanthalli Lokesh has ordered to withdraw the permission given to various developmental projects which have been taken up in Mullusoge GP limits, unilaterally by GP President and Secretary without any administrative approval.

Lokesh held a visit to Mullusoge GP on Thursday following the complaints received from the GP members.

He inspected the documents along with Executive Officer Nagaraju and expressed contempt over the fact that the contractors were given permission to start the works, without getting estimation from the Engineers. He instructed the officials to withhold the bills of the works done till the inspection is completed.

Members present at the GP said that the projects were not discussed at the meetings but instead GP President and Secretary have gone ahead with it after making a secret agreement.

Residents told Lokesh that no developmental works have been happening in the GP and for the last one year, no ‘Grama Sabha’ meeting has been held.
