While South Indian stars Venkatesh and Surya will face off in the earlier part of the day, Bollywood star Salman Khan's team 'Mumbai Heroes' will take on Sandalwood's 'Karnataka Bulldozers' led by actor Sudeep in the latter part of the day (5 pm).

Kannada actor Ambareesh, who heads the Kannada Film Artistes Association, said that through CCL, the film fraternity of India would show its unity. "Not only will we get to play against each other, all the artistes will get to spend some quality time with each other. Through this league we want to send a message that the film fraternity stands united," he said, while addressing reporters on Tuesday.

Hailing Sudeep as Sandalwood's ‘M S Dhoni’, Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce President Basant Kumar Patil said the evening match between Karnataka and Mumbai, would be power-packed, as actor Salman Khan will be cheering the Mumbai team.

He said a holiday has been declared for the entire Kannada film industry on June 4, while the loss incurred on that day will be compensated by the industry going to work on a second Sunday, which is usually considered a holiday.

According to CCL organisers, the Jersey and the ticket would be released on May 28. The tickets, which are to be priced between Rs 200 and Rs 3,000, will be made available at the counters at Chinnaswamy Stadium and the toll booths of the NICE expressway. The second match will be held in Chennai on June 5, between Chennai Rhinos and Karnataka Bulldozers at 1 pm, followed by a match between Telugu Warriors and Mumbai Heroes at 5 pm.

On June 11, the afternoon match will be held between Chennai Rhinos and Mumbai Heroes in Hyderabad, while the evening match will be between Telugu Warriors and Karnataka Bulldozers.

The teams with the highest points will make it to the finals to be held in Hyderabad at
5 pm.
