The Crime Branch on Tuesday told the court that the police would need four months to execute the warrant against Fr Newton Rodrigues who is currently posted in Canada.
The priest failed to turn up in the court last week after being directed to depose in the ongoing criminal trial of an activist lawyer.
Lawyer Aires Rodrigues and 14 others from Ribandar village are being prosecuted for trespassing into church premises after a confrontation with the parish priest over a molestation charge.
The court also directed the police inspector of the crime branch to be present in court at the next hearing on June 21.
