Foundation stone laid for Mini Vidhana Soudha

The foundation stone for Mini Vidhana Soudha was laid by MLA M Narayanaswamy on Thursday. The work on the 2.3 crore project would begin in two-three days, Narayanaswamy said.

“After repeated attempts since one month to invite Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, I decided to do it myself,” MLA added.

Other projects started

Apart from this, nine other developmental project began in the district in the past three days.

The minister set in motion few road developmental projects mainly in roads connecting Dasarahosahalli to BEML, Nayakarahalli to Yalaburgi, Kamadahalli to Kempapur.

Narayanaswamy also remarked that since CM is involved in a lot of issues since past few days and there is a possibility that he will resign the inauguration of the Budhikote government pre university college will be sidelined for the time being.

Background

The work on the construction of Mini Vidhana Soudha in Bangarpet began before five years under the leadership of B G Venkatamuniappa.

A sum of Rs 1.5 crore was allocated for the project.

But due to the high market rate prevailing during that time, it was not advisable to kickstart the project during that time, the builders complained, and the work was delayed.

Work uninitiated

When M Narayanaswamy was elected as the leader, the work was likely to begin again with an allocation of a sum of Rs 2.3 crore.

But due to undecipherable reasons, even though all the formalities with the builders were completed the work did not initiate.

Carried on

Amidst all the political drama happening in the state M Narayanaswamy laid the foundation stone ceremony overnight followed by a public address.

Former legislator BP Municipal, Zilla Panchayat member Muthyalamma, BJP Zilla Mahila Morcha president Vijayalakshmi, Bangarpet Taluk Panchayat president Teja, City Muncipal Council president K Chandra Reddy, Taluk Panchayat deputy president P Amaresh, Nagaraj, Ramappa, Krishnegowda, Bodenahalli Lakshminarayan and Prasad were present on the occasion.
