The farmers who are availing loan for monsoon crops for the year 2011-2012 can directly pay a premium in their respective banks and get insurance cover by Aug 31. Small farmers can get a discount of 10 per cent in the premium amount by getting a certificate from the village accountant.
Paddy, jowar, ragi, tur dal, horse gram, castor, sunflower and groundnut in Mysore district would be cover by insurance.
