Jagan too may be on CBI rack soon

A senior official of the investigating agency said Jaganmohan, who is also facing CBI probe in disproportionate asset case can be questioned in illegal mining scandal if any link is found during the investigation.

“Probes against Jaganmohan and Reddy brothers are two separate issues. However, if any link is found during investigation then agency can also question Jaganmohan in illegal mining case,” the official said.

Asserting that there are clear evidences of illegal mining in the forest area of Andhra Pradesh bordering Karnataka the CBI official said: “We have got satellite images of the area, which show that there are clear evidences of illegal mining.” CBI’s action against the powerful Reddys on Monday was in relation to a case of illegal mining registered by the agency in Anantpur district of Andhra Pradesh in 2009.

Notably, father of Jaganmohan and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy was considered close to the Reddy brothers and the two families reportedly share business interests.
