ZP to have Masti for Dasara tableau

The Zilla Panchayat is preparing to present a tableau based on Masti’s short story ‘Jyogyora Anjappana Kolikathe’.

The proposal is said to have been put across in a meeting in Mysore on Saturday.

Literary works

The Dasara Celebration Committee had directed the administration to present a show based on Masti Venkatesh Iyengar’s literary works.

Following the orders, a committee comprising N Shantappa, the chief executive officer of the Zilla Panchayat, Lakshminarayana, the deputy executive officer and presidents of various standing committees decided to present a slide show based on the littérateur’s short stories.

Studying the text

After selecting ‘Jyogyora Anjappana Kolikathe’, which is a lesson for I PU Kannada, the committee worked on presenting the message and format of the story.

The story is said to put across the message that a person who decides on right
and wrong should be sensitive, and not blindly follow arguments.
