Water shortage

The residents of the 6th main road, Mathikere extension are facing the acute water crisis.

We get very little water on alternative days. Recently, the BBMP has installed road side taps, which are connected to the borewell. Unfortunately, our road is deprived of such a connection.

Hence, I request the local corporator to install at least two or three taps at the earliest, so that it will help our long standing water problem.

Introduce new bus route

There are many employees commuting from Hennur, HBR layout, HRBR Layout, Kalyan Nagar and adjacent areas to Malleswaram and Yeshvantapur. Many people travel from these areas to other areas such as Ulsoor, Indiranagar, Chamarajapet and Gandhi Bazaar. But there are no direct buses connecting these areas. One has to go to either Shivajinagar, Majestic or Market bus stations and take connecting buses.
It will be a great advantage if BMTC introduces new direct routes to facilitate the needs of these areas.

Bad condition of roads

The road between Ashwathnagar and Thanisandra (adjacent to Manjunatha Palace) is in a very bad condition. Of late, from Nagavara signal, there is no entry into Manyata Business Park through the service road and we have to go via Thanisandra-Rachenahalli and then through the back gate of the Park. Such being the case, there is a lot of movement of vehicles in this road, hence it would be helpful if this piece of road is immediately repaired.

SWD blocked

The drain which passes along the Wheeler Road in Cox Town is blocked for the past two months. As a result, the houses located on either sides of the road are facing a lot of problems. The drain stinks terribly, thereby making our lives miserable.
Our requests to the ward corporator and the BWSSB has fallen on deaf ears. There are hotels, temples, wedding halls and clinics in this area and of course, a row of houses.

No streetlights

There have been several instances of chain snatching and robbery of residents of Canara bank Layout and adjoining colonies due to darkness on the link road from the railway level crossing point to the inside of the NTI (Canara Bank Layout). There are no electricity poles erected on the newly laid 100 ft road.
Despite repeated pleas to BBMP so far no efforts have been made to install streetlights.  Will the authorities concerned take steps to install poles and lamps on the link road to prevent thefts and untoward incidents.

Slow moving traffic

The old airport road is always plagued by traffic jams and the commuters are not able to reach their destination in time.
The worst hit are the students and employees.  During peak hours the traffic moves at snail’s pace on both sides of the old airport road starting from ASC centre to HAL signal. At many signals the straight going vehicles cannot proceed even though the signal is green as right-turning vehicles block the entire road.
While going from Domlur to HAL it is very difficult to take a right turn to Rajeswari Theatre or to turn to old airport exit road due to continuous traffic.  Same thing happens at many reaks-in-dividers too. Hence, it is requested to post cops at these places to regulate the traffic.

Need for new bus route

Kaggadasapura which has a population of approximately 20,000 has only one bus - 314 E - which comes from Majestic. Nobody knows at what time this bus comes to Kaggadasapura or Majestic. There is not a single bus to KR Market from Kaggadasapura. If we need to reach Majestic or Market we have to change two buses. From C V Raman Nagar 314B is the only bus, but at least it is more frequent. Many times we have sent a request sent to Chief Traffic Manager (Operations) but there is no response. I request the authority concerned to put up a time-table which will help the public and to ply more buses/extend CV Raman Nagar Buses till Kaggadasapura/DRDO 2nd Phase.

STP work hazardous

This is in respect to the work which is in progress in Lingarajapuram ward, 2nd main road, Thippanna layout. A huge pipe line is being laid to carry the drainage water to Hebbal sewage treatment plant (STP). The work, which started nearly seven months ago, is progressing at a snail’s pace. A huge trench has been dug in Thippanna layout which gets filled up with water whenever it rains and becomes very dangerous because of its depth besides being a breeding place for mosquitoes. The contractor needs to speed up the work and lessen the inconvenience by not dumping the excavated earth near the house.
