Govt employees seek hike in interim relief

Protesting in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, they said the relief should be inclusive of the date of the formation of the Officers’ Pay Commission. The Commission should submit its final report within January 16, 2012, which should be inclusive of the facilities on par with the Central Government Employees/Employees of the Neighbouring States.

There were discrepancies in the salaries of the State Government employees, in comparison to the salaries of Central Government employees and the government employees of the neighbouring states. The Chief Minister should take serious measures in order to bridge the gap, they urged.
