‘Wait till DC returns’

The tahsildar said that the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and the project director were in Bangalore for a meeting and that the DC would look into the problems after they return. He appealed to the protesters to give up their strike.

The agitators said they would give up the protest if they get a promise that the DC and the officials concerned visit the place and promise to solve the problems.

Meanwhile, the protesters have warned of a Bagepalli Bandh either on Wednesday or Thursday if the Deputy Commissioner does not visit the spot.

They also propose to intensify the agitation against the corruption in the TMC.
