Centre's defence of RIL amazes Anil group

“We were surprised to learn from media... that RIL... justified the massive escalation in development costs... we were also surprised that the petroleum ministry, within the short time of less than a day that was available for verification, defended RIL’s apparently inflated capital expenditure,” Group President A N Sethuraman wrote to Oil Secretary R S Pandey.
Sethuraman, also sought the oil ministry’s indulgence in NTPC’s case against RIL just as it did in a similar commercial dispute over gas supply between the Ambani brothers.
