Though Nam Anna Don (NAD) is her third movie, actress Sana is extremely confident and popular.

Her smiling face is her plus point and she is sought after both on the small and big screen. Sana, who was last seen in Crazy Kutumba, is quite hopeful about NAD.

“I am playing the character of a nurse in NAD, which is something I had never thought of. My character is very lively and is completely opposite my role in Crazy Kutumba. It has all the masala and the audience will definitely enjoy my performance,” says Sana, who has teamed up with Ramesh Aravind for the second time.

“I feel lucky to be part of his directorial venture. It’s like a double bonus for me as Ramesh sir is acting in the movie as well as directing it. I was worried that he might lose his temper while juggling both. But he handled both the roles comfortably,” she informs.
She says the entire unit had a gala time while shooting.

“It was a memorable experience to work with 25 to 30 kids who were facing the camera for the first time. Senior artistes like Raju Talikote, M S Umesh and Achuthkumar kept everyone in a good mood,” she says. More than the shooting, it’s the film promotion that was challenging for her.

“The best part of NAD was travelling through the State for the promotion of the film. We had gone to Gulbarga, Bijapur, Badami, Mangalore, Dharwad, Hassan and Shimoga and everywhere, we were welcomed wholeheartedly. People were thrilled as nobody had gone to these places for any promotional activity. I stepped into a jataka gadi (bullock cart) for the first time in my life. I have good memories of the road shows in open jeeps and tractors,” informs Sana.

Sana is a household name now, thanks to her cookery show on the small screen. She hosted the show for eight months and received praises for her clarity of language. “Now, people recognise me wherever I go. Many women have told me that, inspired by me, they have started cooking with a smiling face. I receive a lot of calls and many people share their personal problems with me. I am touched by their love,” she avers.

Though she is getting many offers to host TV shows, Sana says that her focus is acting. “I have a couple of offers from Sandalwood. But I didn’t get time to go through the script as I was busy in the promotional activities of NAD. I will take a call on that once the film releases,” says Sana.
