JOIN US A 28-year-old woman jumped to her death on Monday from the sixth floor of an apartment building, police said.
Minakshi, wife of 34-year-old Amit Kumar, jumped from her home in Sector 10 under mysterious circumstances.
According to police, Amit and Minakshi had been living in a building in the area from the last five years. The couple have two children, a five-year-old girl, and a one-year-old boy. Amit runs a chemical factory in the old city area.
Minakshi’s mother, Kusum Devi was also staying with them from the last three weeks, said SHO Budhi Prakash
The couple had argued on Sunday night over alcohol consumption by Amit. “After sending her daughter to school, Minakshi told her mother that she was going to the temple.
She went to the nearby Karamyogi apartments and mentioned in the entry register that she would visit a beauty parlour in the building. Instead of going there, she went to the sixth floor and jumped from there,” Prakash added.
No suicide note has been found. The body was handed over to Minakshi’s relatives.
