Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik from Odisha has been selected to represent India at the Copenhagen International Sand Sculpture Championship 2012 to be held in Denmark from May 24.
Pattnaik is among ten artists from different countries selected to participate in the eight-day championship.
"The height of the sculpture will be 2.5 meters and I will try to send a social message through it", Sudarsan said.
He has been invited by the Director of International Sand Sculpture Festival, Peter Rose.
Pattnaik has participated in over 50 international sand sculpture championships and also won many awards.
