'Restore power supply to old-age shed'

The Delhi High court has ordered the DDA to restore the power supply to the Old-Age Corner Shed in posh Hauz Khas area where hundreds of senior citizens organise spiritual, social and cultural activities every day.

Justice Sunil Gaur gave this order while hearing a petition filed by Senior Citizen Council of Delhi through its President J R Gupta, who accused the DDA of disconnecting the electricity supply arbitrarily.

Gaur asked the DDA to treat the petition as representation to it and redress the grievance within four weeks but ordered it to restore the power supply in the meantime.
