Cong plans unique protest

Congress leader Dinesh Gundu Rao on Thursday threatened to dump the garbage in front of Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar’s house if the government failed to tackle the garbage menace by this weekend in the City.

Addressing the media in Bangalore, Rao said if the problem was not addressed by the authorities, his party workers would dump garbage in front of ‘Krishna’ and his official bungalow ‘Kaveri’ and register their protest.

- Automatic processing unit with a capacity of 750 metric tonnes of garbage at Subbarayanapalya on 10 acre land by Hazir Biotech Agency private limited.

- Manufacturing crude oil from waste plastic using 10 metric tonnes of garbage at Mandur North on five acre land by M K Aromatics Limited.

- Manufacturing bio-fuel from five metric tonne of garbage in 16 wards of the Palike on 500 sq meter area in each ward by Ashok Biogreen Private limited and  Mailhem Engineers Private Limited.

- To generate electricity and manufacture bio-fuel from 1,000 metric tonne of garbage on 25 acre land by  Organic Waste India Private Limited.

- To manufacture bio-fuel from solid waste of 600 tonne of garbage at Kannahalli on 29 acres of land.

- To generate electricity using 1,000 tonnes of garbage at Magadi taluk on 40 acres by Satharem.

- To create dry and wet segregation centres in all wards.

- On a trial basis to use organic waste converters
(bio-fuel convertors) at Thanisandra, near Cantonment railway station and Dollars Colony on 54 square metres.
