Man, daughter killed in accident

In a tragic incident, a man and his  seven and a half month old baby girl were killed in a head on collision between a tractor and motorbike at Goravanahalli in Maddur on Thursday evening.

The deceased have been identified as Ravi (30), resident of Anjipura and his daughter(not named). Ravi’s wife Jyothi received severe injuries and has been admitted to town hospital for treatment.

It is said that the family had gone to Channegowdanadoddi in a motorbike, where Jyothi’s parents reside on Thursday morning. Later, after lunch they were returning to Anjipura, when the tractor collided head on with the two wheeler near Goravanahalli gate, killing two on the spot.

The tractor driver has absconded and a case has been registered.
