British deputy high commission team visits Dharmasthala

British Deputy High Commissioner Ian Felton along with his UK Trade & Investment Team members visited Dharmasthala on Tuesday.

The team acquainted themselves with various activities of Dharmasthala with special reference to Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project. The day long visit consisted of a visit to Rural Development Project Office, SDM College, Ujire, vintage car museum and Naturopathy Hospital campus.  

The team also held discussions with Dharmasthala counter parts consisting of Secretary of S D M Education Society D Harshendra Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of SDM Education Society Sudha Rao, Executive Director of SKDRDP Dr L H Manjunath, Professor S Prabhakar and executives from SKDRDP.  

The team then visited SDM Engineering College and held discussions with Dr Anandnarayan, Scientist in the SELCO Solar lab situated in the college campus. They then visited RUDSETI campus before proceeding to Manipal.  

Speaking to the media persons, Dr L H Manjunath said the matters of mutual interest with reference to renewable energy, education and development were discussed.
