Students attack teacher

In a shocking incident, students of a Jodhpur private school attacked their teacher who scolded them for being inattentive in class.

The teacher, Hitesh kumar, who teachers science for Class X, pulled up two students Gujal and Vijaya for not being attentive.

The students, with the help of two of their friends, attacked the teacher with knife when he was returning home.

The teacher was injured on the face and head and was lying in a pool of blood as the four fled the scene.

He was later admitted to a Jodhpur hospital. Police arrested the duo on complaint by the school principal.

Rajendra Singh, the school principal, described the incident as unfortunate and said teachers had to find newer ways of disciplining students, who react violently for scoldings.

He said Hitesh Kumar has been a sincere teacher.
