The recently deployed satellite GSAT 10 by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) had space- grade solar panels and lithium-ion batteries assembled, tested and supplied by the Electronics Division of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL).

The four solar panels each of 5.36 square meters area, supplied by BHEL for GSAT 10 have multi-junction solar cells in series and parallel combinations, with a power generating capacity of 4,000 watts. BHEL has supplied two sets of Li-ion batteries with a power storage capacity of 160 ampere hours for GSAT 10.
