Gandhiji, Lal Bahadur Shastri remembered


Founding President of  Hemadri B.Ed, D.Ed and ITI College, S B Munivenkatappa presided over the programme organised at the college. J Srinivasa Shetty and Manjunath were present.

The programme organised at DGMP Educational Institution was inaugurated by Gandhian Munishami Gowda. Udaykumar presided over the function, and D R Nagaraja Gowda, D R Shekar, Manjula, Lakshminarayana, Dakshayini, Anitha, Suresh, Sudha, Deepa, Manjula, Arpitha and Nethra were present.

In Sugaturu taluk, Sabarmati Samyukta High School had organised a district-level speech competition on ‘Baharupi Gandhi’ in memory of K Pattabhiraman and Hebbani Nagappa. Secretary of the school C Byrappa inaugurated the competition and treasurer T P nareppa presided. L Narayanaswamy, G N Kubera Gowda, A Subramani, M N Chandrashekar judged the competition.

School vice president Venkatamuniyappa presided over the prize distribution ceremony. MLC V R Sudarshan and school president G Narayana Gowda were the guests. MLC Nasir Ahmed distributed the prizes.

Somayaajalahalli Government High School in Srinivasapura taluk won the first place, while Bhairaveshwara Vidyaniketan from the same taluk stood second and Sabarmati School won the third place.

School president G Yoginarayana, CMC member Munikadirappa, V Byrappa, B Venkatesh were present.

The programme organised by the BJP district unit was attended by Begli Siraj, Jayaramareddy, Amaranath and C Venkatesh.

Gandhi Jayanthi programme was organised at Shankar Vidyalaya under the guidance of Bharat Scouts and Guides and Rotary Club. K V Shankarappa presided over the function.
Gandhi Jayanthi celebrations were organised at the grama panchayat library in Holur taluk. GP president B Buddareddy inaugurated the programme and Supervisor narayana Swamy spoke at the function. Jaderi Chandrappa, Venkataramanappa, Dadireddy Halli R Narayanaswamy, Srirama Reddy, Gowramma Peddappaiah, H M Srinivasa Reddy and Gopal participated.

In Narsapura taluk, celebrations were organised by the Government Composite Pre-University College. Teacher S M Prakash, Vemagal station SI Ambarish and school development committee member L Nagaraj spoke.

Members P L Bhanuprakash, R Rajeshwari Harish Gowda, Kumar, Ashwath, ASI Rajashekar were present. Muralimohan, Rahman Pasha and Lakshmi read out excerpts from various religious texts. Shilpa sang a bhajan. Radha and Priyanka spoke about Gandhi. Shakuntala, and Hemavathi participated.
