Janata Dal (Secular) MLA from Hassan  H S Prakash on Wednesday pooh poohed the idea of him leaving the party and categorically stated that the reports were far from truth.

He was addressing the media here and reacting to the statements. “It is all only figment of the imagination that I am quitting the party and meeting Siddaramaiah with a political motive. I had greeted him only because he was senior leader in our party earlier. I had not met him with any political intentions nor had I invited him to return to Janata parivar,” he said.

Even if I will be an aspirant from the Hassan constitutency and the party decides to give ticket to someone else, I will work in his (new nominee’s) favour. I will involve myself completely in the party activities. I will not contest from any other party, he clarified.

Reacting to the statements made by legislator Puttegowda and former legislator H M Vishwanath also from JD(S), against H D Revanna, he said, “The ones who are making allegations have forgotten that whatever they are today is because of Deve Gowda’s family and the benefits they have derived from them. “We cannot stop people who want to quit the party. But it is not right on their part to start a malicious campaign.

Added to this they are also misusing my name and spreading all kinds of things. I am also requesting them not to use my name for any reason, said Prakash.

The party’s district unit president H K Javaregowda said Puttegowda and Vishwanath had decided to quit the party quite some time back. But they were waiting for an appropriate time. But both of them continued with the anti-party activities. Since both are leaving on their own, there is no question of taking action against them.
MLC Patel Shivaram was also present.
