Rs 5 lakh stolen from car


Police said Dr Ashok Jain, the managing director of a hospital had come to Upparpet for shopping. Accompanied by his friend, he reached KG Road by car. He went to a showroom, and directed his driver Raghavendra to park the car behind Maharaja complex.

Raghavendra parked the car and was standing near it when two unidentified persons threw eight currency notes of Rs 10 denomination near the car. One of them drew Raghavendra’s attention towards the money. When Raghavendra bent down to pick it up, the other took the cash bag from the car through an open window. The duo fled immediately.
