Responding to the displeasure expressed by some members in the Udupi Taluk Panchayat meet here on Wednesday regarding improper allotments of the houses to the beneficiaries, he asked the Matsyashraya samithi to take immediate actions to identify the remaining beneficiaries.

He also urged the government officials to maintain transparency in the allotment of houses. He also urged the officials to make it compulsory for the beneficiaries to get a recommendation letter by the concerned TP member before sanctioning of the allotments.
The scheme comprises of Udupi, Kundapur and Malpe. Each house will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 40,000. Several houses are ready. 33 fishermen have been identified for financial assistance to purchase fishing equipments.

Other issues
The issue of allocations made under the ‘girijana upayojane and opening of the proposed 21 Anganavadi centres.

As per the rules, there is provision to open 19 anganvadi centres. In case of necessity, additional centres will be opened. 

The issue of food supply to the Anaganavadi centres evoked debate on the reasons behind the refusal of children to consume the food provided by the government.
The officials were directed to make arrangements to supply rice based food instead of wheat based food.

Members also decided to donate one month honourarium to the flood relief fund.
President Shyamala Sudhakar, MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary, Vice President Soumya Nayak, Standing Committee Chairman Katpadi Shanker Poojary, CEO Ramanand Nayak and others were present.
