Four juveniles held for sexually assaulting girl

Four juveniles were nabbed for sexually assaulting their 16-year-old female classmate in outer Delhi’s Bawana. 

Police said only one juvenile had tried to sexually assault her, while the other three were only present at the spot. The accused, all of whom are aged between 16 and 17, study in a private school near Bawana village. The accused had sexually assaulted the classmate on March 13 afternoon.

“After the sexual assault, the victim had informed her parents, who then reported the matter to the village panchayat, where it was decided to report the matter to police,” said a senior officer.

Police said the parents approached them on March 16, and the victim’s statement was recorded. She said the juvenile accused had lured her to his house and forced himself upon her in the presence of the three others, who did not have any direct involvement in the case.

Subsequently, she was taken to a government hospital where medical examination confirmed rape.

According to police, the other three juveniles were booked under the same sections as they were also present at the spot and did not in any way attempt to stop the accused from sexually assaulting the girl.
