She has stated that Bhargav  sold Marina’s jewellery, which were worth Rs 13 lakh and had borrowed Rs 20 lakh in her name. Using this money, he used to lead a lavish life, she explained.

“When we demanded him to repay the money, he would threaten us with dire consequences. Besides, Bhargav was pestering Marina to give him another Rs 10 lakh. Unable to bear the torture, she ended her life,” the complaint stated.

It is said that Bhargav, who came to know of the suicide, fled in Marina’s car, leaving his bike in front of the Tilak Nagar police station.
