Naxals have visited Koodlu in Hebri of Udupi district, Melugadde in Shimoga and Uluvadi in Sringeri taluk.
The Naxals have sought support from the villagers and urged them not to inform police. A 22 member Naxal team visited nearly 20 houses. It is learnt that Vikram Gowda paid visit to Udupi district, B G Krishnamurthy to Chikmagalur district along with their team. However, district police are of the opinion that Naxal activities are under control. There is no information on their movements.
Naxals visiting villages in the backdrop of DGP Ajay Kumar Singh visiting the Naxal infested areas and the action against Naxals in North India is important.
