Sriram Sene protests alleged conversion

The Sene activists alleged that slumdwellers were being converted for several months, and preaching was done on every Sunday. During their raid on the community hall, the Sene activists gheraoed two persons who were engaged in preaching, for more than one hour. They also burnt some publicity materials.

Old Hubli Station police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. Later, the Sene activists staged a protest in front of the police station also, alleging that the police did not take action against those who were involved in conversion activities.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner of Police Chandiram Singh has clarified that conversion activities had not taken place at Heggeri.
