Fulfilment of various demands sought

The protesters complained that the colonies of Scheduled Caste are deprived of various benefits extended by the government. Samiti State president B A Keshava Murthy alleged that private persons have encroached the land allotted to the dalits under the Ashraya Yojana. He demanded that the encroachment be cleared and hand over the land to the beneficiaries. A memorandum urging for the fulfilment of their various demands were submitted to Shirastedar Chennabasappa. Samiti Taluk President G Gopal, Vice-president V Krishnappa, secretary Adinarayana, Joint Secretary  K Narayan Swamy and others took part in the protest.
