Addressing a press meet, he said there is a need to probe into the misuse of 18 per cent fund in TMC. Officials should show the beneficiaries of the scheme. Under small and middle town development scheme, Rs 5 crore has been sanctioned. In the first phase, Rs 1.66 crore has been released. We have received administrative approval for the development of Kadur town into a model town. DC has directed TMC Chief officer to seek technical approval after preparing the estimate, he added.

He said priority will be given to the development and cleanliness of the town.

Krishnamurthy said the development work worth Rs 36 crore is being carried out to supply Bhadra water to Birur, Kadur and 34 villages. Jackwell is being dug in Bhadra river. The work on Rangenahalli, Bavikere is under progress.

The roads will be repaired within three months, he added.

TMC Vice-President K G Lokessh said the illegal building will be evicted.  TMC President Rajeshwari Puttaraju, and others were present.
